Over the past week, demand in the local Turkish hot dip galvanized coil (HDG) market has remained at low levels. Meanwhile, Turkish steel mills have continued to monitor the trend of the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate and have maintained their cautious stance as regards new purchases. Market sources do not expect a revival in demand in the short term due to the approach of Ramadan.
