Over the past week, demand for flat steel imports in Turkey has remained weak against the backdrop of the increased strength of the US dollar against the Turkish lira. With tight liquidity slowing down transaction activity in the market, buyers are still reluctant to conclude deals.

On the other hand, Russian hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have remained unchanged during the past week at $385-395/mt CFR and $475-495/mt CFR, respectively. Meanwhile, Ukrainian HRC and CRC offers to the same destination have also moved sideways in the same period at $375-385/mt CFR and $465-475/mt CFR, respectively.
