Demand has remained at low levels in the Turkish steel plate market since last week, while prices have been stable. "We hear $10-20/mt discounts in the market from time to time, but we think they are overstocked materials, otherwise no discounts are possible because of the levels of HRC and scrap prices in Turkey. Also, producers are unwilling to give discounts and we need to restock our materials at higher price levels," a trader told SteelOrbis.
