China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest and only integrated steel mill in Taiwan, has announced its domestic flats prices for the second quarter of 2009, excepting June shipments. The new prices are at the following levels:

Due to the weakening situation in the global and local markets, CSC has decided to further cut its Q2 prices by about 14.03 percent on average. CSC has also announced that it will apply a rebate on almost all prices in order to support most downstream customers. Thus, compared to the Q1 2009 base prices, the HRC domestic price has been cut by NTD 3,000/mt ($86/mt), the CRC price drops down by NTD 2,960/mt ($85/mt), HRP is down by NTD 4,170/mt ($120/mt), ES prices have decreased by NTD 4,500/mt ($129/mt), while the price of CGI has declined by NTD 2,870/mt ($82/mt) and EGC prices have fallen by NTD 4,000/mt ($115/mt),
