CRC spot prices trend sideways in Turkey

This week, traders' cold rolled coil (CRC) prices in Turkey's local Gebze and Eregli markets have remained unchanged as compared to last week, while some supply shortages are reported for material in certain grades and sizes in the Eregli market, due to the ongoing maintenance works at local integrated steel producer Erdemir. No softening is expected in traders' prices in the short term and it is thought that demand may show some revival if a new price cut is announced on the producers' side.

The domestic sales prices of traders for local and imported hot and cold rolled flat steel products in the Eregli and Gebze regions of Turkey are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

830-840

830-840

0.7-2 mm CRC

The above prices are ex-warehouse and for advance payments, exclusive of 18 percent VAT.
