Turkey’s cold rolled coil prices have seen a significant rebound from the end of October, supported by the uptrend in the feedstock segment.

Domestic CRC prices in Turkey are currently ranging within $520-545/mt ex-works on average, while around two weeks ago sales were being done at $490-510/mt ex-works, SteelOrbis understands. Buyers report higher offers are also available in the market, though they are not considered workable. In the export segment, CRC offers for January-February shipments are reported at $530-540/mt FOB base, up by around $20-30/mt over two weeks.

Import offers from Ukraine are coming at $470/mt CFR with some buyers reporting they have received higher indications. The previous deals from Metinvest were closed at $460/mt CFR. Offers from Russia differ depending on the seller: some indications hit $485-490/mt CFR, while some are confirmed as coming at $475-480/mt CFR. In the meantime, South Korean suppliers have offered $535/mt CFR base to Turkey, SteelOrbis has learned.
