The price situation in Turkey’s cold rolled coil market remains a bit complicated as suppliers are giving different offers depending on the month of production and order size. In the local market, prices are still generally set at $530-540/mt ex-works for January-February production, while offers for shorter lead times are heard at $545-550/mt ex-works and above. Some small deals were reported at $520/mt ex-works; however, such a level is not widespread. In the export sector, according to traders, the workable levels have been standing this week at $525-535/mt FOB.
Import CRC offers from Ukraine’s Metinvest are coming at $470-480/mt CFR Turkey for January-February shipment, by $10/mt on the upper end over the past week. Russia’s MMK is in the market with $480-490/mt CFR, practically in line with previous offers. In the meantime, the deals for NLMK’s CRC were reported at up to $485/mt CFR, with current offers being $5/mt higher than that.
