CRC import price offers remain stable in Brazil

CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated in average at $920/mt, CFR conditions, stable over the last four weeks, according to sources.

In June, Brazil exported 1,700 mt and imported 23,800 mt of CRC, against respectively 1,800 mt and 44,100 mt in May.

The exports of May were all destined to Argentina, of which 1,600 mt at $1,344/mt by Usiminas and 100 mt at $1,217/mt by CSN, both FOB conditions.

The imports were from Asia (22,800 mt, of which 16,800 mt at $623/mt from China) and Europe (1,000 mt at $1,419/mt), also FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades remains offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,150/mt ($1,260/mt), stable in BRL from two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
