During the given week, ferrous metal futures prices have moved down, exerting a negative impact on steel plate prices in spot market. Meanwhile, the cold weather has hit China, slackening the demand for steel plate and dragging down steel plate prices. Market participants have mostly held a pessimistic attitude towards prospect for the future market. It is expected that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely edge down further in the coming week.
