During the week ending February 3, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have indicated a stable trend, while transaction activity in the domestic market is at low levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, local PPGI traders have been returning gradually to the market. However, demand is still slack, not yet recovering after the Chinese New Year holiday, and so traders are maintaining a wait-and- see stance towards the future prospects for the market. It is expected that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will continue their stable trend in the coming week.
