On April 21, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Bensteel announced its ex-works prices to be effective for May 2009. The details are as follows:
1. HR
The new price of 2.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 2,810/mt ($411/mt), while the new price of 5.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 2,740/mt ($401/mt).
2. CR
The price of 1.0 mm DC01 stands at RMB 3,450/mt ($505/mt).
3. HDG
The price of 1.0 mm SGCC stands at RMB 3,750/mt ($549/mt).
4. PPGI
The new price of 0.47 mm TDC51D is at RMB 4,850/mt ($710/mt).
The above prices do not include 17 percent VAT.
