The most commonly reported price range for Chinese hot dipped galvanized 0.012”x40.875” G30 and 0.019”x48” G90 coil have both ticked down $1.00 cwt. ($22/mt or $20/nt) since our last report a week ago, and many traders say they continue to question “how low they can go before they push the envelope too far.” Trade case rumors continue to abound, according to market sources, with the continued speculation swirling around a Q2 file date; others point out these rumors have been circling for quite a few months at this point in time and in the absence of official action, they’re not stepping away from imports just yet.
