Notable rebar, wire rod, plate and slab shipments into the US, Nov. 29-Dec. 5

Rebar:

• Three shipments totaling 10,507 metric tons of rebar arrived into the Port of Houston, Texas on December 3 from Mediterranean region ports, Turkey.

Wire rod:

• Nine shipments totaling 16,204 metric tons of low carbon wire rod arrived into the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana on December 2 from Chinese ports.
• Six shipments totaling 15,339 metric tons of low carbon wire rod arrived into the Port of New Orleans, Louisiana on December 2 from Chinese ports (different consignee).

Plate:

• Nine shipments totaling 1,337 metric tons of hot rolled steel plate arrived into the Port of Chicago, Illinois on November 29 from the Port of Raahe, Finland.

Slab:

• 35,629 metric tons of steel slab arrived into the Port of Los Angeles, California on November 30 from ports south of Recife, Brazil.
