China’s rolled steel output up by 29.5% in Q1
As previously reported by SteelOrbis, China's steel production reached 61.5 million tons in the first quarter of 2004 with an increase of 26.4% compared to the same period of last year. According to official statistics, rolled steel production also surged by 29.5% to 67.3 million tons in the aforementioned period. The statistics show that the consumption of rolled steel in January-March 2004 period amounted to 75.7 million tons, up by 28.3% compared to the corresponding period of last year. This figure also includes record rolled steel import of 10.1 million tons. Meanwhile, billet imports reached 1.51 million tons.China's rolled steel output up by 29.5% in Q1
