Xinyu Steel produces 1.15 million mt of iron ore pellets in Jan-Nov

Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xinyu Iron and Steel Group (Xinyu Steel) has announced that its iron ore pellet ore output totaled 1.15 million mt in the first 11 months of the current year. Based on this figure, Xinyu Steel's iron ore pellet output for the whole of 2011 is expected to hit 1.27 million mt.
 
Xingu Steel added that its output of iron ore pellets in seven of the first 11 months this year had exceeded 110,000 mt. Meanwhile, the capacity utilization rate of Xinyu Steel's pelletizing plant in the January-November period averaged at 93.2 percent, up 5.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
