Xinyu Iron & Steel’s export volume rises by 144 percent in Jan-Nov 2010

In the January-November period of 2010, Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xinyu Iron and Steel Group exported 782,300 mt of steel products, 460,000 mt more than the export volume of 320,000 mt recorded in the same period of 2009, i.e., up 144 percent year on year.

In a statement, Xinyu Iron and Steel Group commented that, aiming to increase export sales, it had changed its marketing methods and had started to explore new markets in South America, the Middle East, India and Taiwan, so as to reduce its dependence on traditional markets such as South Korea and the EU.

Xinyu Iron and Steel's premium oil platform steel, weathering steel, bridge plate, pipeline steel and other steel products are exported to buyers throughout the world.
