Xining Special Steel’s operating revenue down 16.9 percent in H1

Qinghai Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xining Special Steel Co. (Xining Special Steel) has issued its financial report for the first half of the current year. Accordingly, the company recorded an operating revenue of RMB 2.371 billion ($0.37 billion) in the given period, down 16.9 percent year on year, while it posted a net loss of RMB 236 million ($36.88 million), compared to a net loss of RMB 125 million in the same period last year.

In the first half of this year, Xining Special Steel produced 653,300 mt of pig iron, 664,500 mt of crude steel and 576,800 mt of finished steel, up 5.56 percent, decreasing by 4.33 percent and down 3.39 percent year on year, respectively.
