Wuyang Steel and Shijiazhuang Steel pass Caterpillar audit

Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmakers Wuyang Iron and Steel Co. (Wuyang Steel) and Shijiazhuang Iron and Steel Co. (Shijiazhuang Steel), both subsidiaries of Hebei-based Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group Co. (Hebei Steel Group), have successfully passed an audit carried out by US-based construction and mining equipment manufacturer Caterpillar, receiving 1E1861 certification from the US company, as announced by Hebei Steel Group on October 12. Accordingly, Caterpillar and its component suppliers around the world can now purchase finished steel from Wuyang Steel and Shijiazhuang Steel.
 
Caterpillar is the world's largest manufacturer of engineering machinery, mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines and industrial gas turbines.
