On January 2, 2008, Jiangsu Province-based steelmaker Wuxi NewDaZhong Steel announced upward adjustments to its HDG and color coated coil ex-factory prices for January 2008.
The producer's ex-factory price for HDG has increased RMB 200/mt ($28/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 0.5 mm thick HDG is at RMB 6,350/mt ($873/mt), while that of 1.0 mm thick HDG is at RMB 5,950/mt ($818/mt).
The ex-factory price for color coated coil has risen by RMB 130/mt ($18/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 0.4 mm thick color coated coil is at RMB 7,350/mt ($1,011/mt), while that of 0.47 mm thick color coated coil is at RMB 7,100/mt ($977/mt).
All above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of January 1, 2008.
