Wuhan Steel to increase cold rolled sheet capacity

According to recent news in the market, Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation has started its silicon steel expansion project. The project will increase Wuhan Steel's total silicon steel production capacity from 400'000 tons to 1.2 million tons. The project, which is expected to cost Yuan 4.883 billion ($590 million), aims to produce 800'000 tons of cold rolled silicon sheet and cold rolled hard coils per annum.
