Wuhan authorities to invest in 2,075 projects in 2011-2015 period

The local authorities in the city of Wuhan in China's Hubei Province plan to invest in 2,075 projects in the 2011-2015 period, with expenditure of over RMB 1 trillion ($157 billion), according to the People's Government of Hubei Province.

The projects in question include the Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge, the city's fourth ring road and the third phase of Tianhe Airport. These three projects are respectively valued at RMB 4 billion ($627 million), RMB 28 billion ($4.4 billion) and RMB 14.616 ($2.3 billion). Construction of the third phase of Tianhe Airport started in May 2010, while work on the fourth ring road and the Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge is expected to get underway in October and November this year, respectively.
