Worthington Industries reports Q4 results

Ohio based Worthington Industries Inc has recently announced fourth quarter and 2003-2004 fiscal year results ending on May 31, 2004. According to the report, sales of Worthington in the fourth quarter are recorded as $789.9 million up by 33%, when compared with $589.9 million recorded in the same period of previous fiscal. For fiscal 2003-04, sales are recorded as $2.38 billion indicating a 7% increase against $2.22 billion recorded in previous fiscal. The company reported its fourth quarter net earnings as $39.4 million compared to net earnings of $15.6 million for the same period last year. Net earnings for the year are recorded as $86.8 million against $75.2 million recorded in the previous year. Worthington Industries, establishing a processing facility in Delta, Ohio, adjacent to North Star-BHP Steel has become the principal customer of BHP Steel.
