World DRI output reaches 52.68 million mt in Jan-Nov period

According to the preliminary data released by the World Steel Association (worldsteel), global direct reduced iron (DRI) production in the first 11 months of 2010 came to 52.68 million metric tons, compared to 48.05 million million metric tons in the corresponding period of 2009.

Meanwhile, in November this year world DRI output totaled 4.76 million metric tons, compared to a revised 5.05 million metric tons in October and 4.74 million metric tons in the same month of 2009.
