WISCO wins major tender to supply steel plate for crude oil storage tanks

Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has announced that it has won a tender to supply steel plate to China Petroleum Materials Co., Ltd for application in crude oil storage tanks aboard oil tankers. Accordingly, WISCO will supply high-strength steel plate for a total of 31 100,000 m³pressure vessels.
 
This is the first time WISCO has won a tender held by China Petroleum Materials Co. for the supply of over 20,000 mt of steel plate for application in crude oil  tanks aboard oil tankers. WISCO first developed the steel plate products in question in 1999.
