WISCO to accelerate Fangchenggang steel base construction

On September 25, Ma Biao, chairman of China's Guangxi Autonomous Region, held a meeting with Deng Qilin, president of major Chinese steel producer Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO). At the meeting, they reached a consensus on the speeding up of the ongoing construction work on the Fangchenggang steel base project in Guangxi.
 
Mr. Ma said the Guangxi government has been providing great support in terms of construction of infrastructure, while WISCO has agreed to accelerate its work on the project.
 
The new steel base is located in Qisha Industrial Park in Fangchenggang, Guangxi. The designed annual production capacity of the project is 10 million mt
