VSC constructs billet plant in Vietnam

Vietnam Steel Corp (VSC) is planning to construct a billet plant in Quang Ninh, north of Vietnam to the government. The annual capacity of billets and construction steel products, including deformed bars and wire rods will increase to 500'000 tons and 300'000 tons respectively. The Vietnamese steel producers mostly rely on imported billets. Vietnam imports 2 million tons of billet per year.
