Vallourec reports decline in Q3 sales

France's Vallourec, world leader in the production of seamless steel tubes, has announced that its consolidated sales amounted to €579.4 million in the third quarter of 2003, down by 11.2% when compared to €652.3 million recorded in the corresponding period last year. The company's sales decreased by 7.8% to €1.8 billion in the first nine months of 2003. Company officials stated that these sales figures meet the expectations. Consolidated sales for the fourth quarter will be released on February 2, 2004.
