France-based pipe manufacturer Vallourec has announced that it has expanded its pipe connection technology center in Houston, Texas, in the US.

The expansion of the technology center will double the research and development capacity dedicated to the design and testing of Vallourec's premium connections in the US. The expanded facility will be specifically dedicated to product testing for shale applications or offshore projects for the Gulf of Mexico.

Construction for the expansion project was completed in July, and all equipment will be fully operational by the end of the year.
