A group of investors owning shares at Brazilian miner and iron ore producer Vale has filed a claim asking for compensation following the deadly Brumadinho iron ore dam burst, according to media reports.

Vale reportedly did not disclose market information about the collapsing dam in Minas Gerais state, the investors argued. Reuters said about 25 asset management companies and some other pension funds are seeking compensation from Vale.

The media report, which first appeared in Brazilian news source Valor, did not quantify how much Vale investors are seeking in terms of compensation.
