According to the investment program, the mill plans to realize nine investment projects directed at the modernization of its EAF, at the reduction of scrap volumes used in production and at increasing the mill's product range.

As a result of the program, Uzmetkombinat expects to increase its annual crude steel production to 695,000 metric tons and its long products output to 492,000 metric tons by 2011.
