USSK expands electrical steel production capacity

US Steel Kosice(USSK) mill of Slovakia is in plans to add a third line of 90'000 tons annual capacity in order to raise its electrical steel production. The new line is to start operations in 2004. Furthermore, USSK recorded an operating income of $40 million in the third quarter. The mill expects to ship approximately 43.5 million tons in the final quarter.
