US rig counts rises again week-on-week while Canadian count edges down

Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 19, the US rotary rig count increased by seven to 563 rigs. The number of rigs drilling for gas remained stable at 102, while the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by seven to 461. The overall rig count is now up by 253 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.

Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by one to 167 rigs in the week ending November 19. The Canadian rig count is now up by 66 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
