Total raw steel production in the United States last week amounted to 1,615,000 nt. This figure represents a decrease of 0.4 percent from the 1,621,000 net produced in the prior week, but is up 4.6 percent from the 1,544,000 nt produced in the same week of last year.
The capacity utilization rate of US raw steelmaking facilities was 66.8 percent in the week ending November 5, compared to 67 percent in the prior week and 64.7 in the same week last year.
