US ITC to conduct sunset reviews for flat products from 11 countries

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced today that it instituted five-year reviews concerning the countervailing duty orders on hot rolled carbon steel flat products from Argentina, India, Indonesia, South Africa, and Thailand and the antidumping duty orders on the same products from Argentina, China, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, and Ukraine. The ITC will use the sunset reviews to determine whether revocation of the orders would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision by September 20, 2006. Comments on the adequacy of responses may be filed with the Commission by October 16, 2006.
