The Department of Commerce (DOC) of the US has announced that it has determined in its antidumping (AD) review that Noksel Çelik Boru Sanayi A.Ş., a Turkey-based heavy-walled rectangular welded carbon steel pipes and tubes producer, sold the subject merchandise in the US at less than normal value during the period of review, September 1, 2017 through August 21, 2018.

As a result of its review, the DOC has determined to double the antidumping duty rate to 35.66 percent for Turkish producers and exporters of heavy-walled rectangular welded pipes and tubes, from 17.83 percent implemented before.

The DOC also stated that Turkish producer Çınar Boru had not exported the subject merchandise to the US during the period of review.

The product subject to duty currently falls under Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States subheading 7306.61.1000. The product subject to duty may also enter under HTSUS 7306.61.3000.
