US DOC: Preliminary results of sunset review on flat products from France

On November 1, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated a sunset review of the countervailing duty order on certain corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from France. On the basis of the notices of intent to participate and adequate substantive responses filed on behalf of domestic interested parties and adequate responses from respondent interested parties, the DOC determined to conduct a full sunset review. The DOC preliminarily found that revocation of the CVD order would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of a countervailable subsidy. The net countervailable subsidy likely to prevail if the order were revoked is 0.16 percent ad valorem.
