The US Department of Commerce (DOC), on June 5, 2008, made its final dumping determination in the investigation of hot rolled flat products from India.
The review covered four Indian exporters/producers during the period of December 1, 2005 through November 30, 2006.
The DOC determined that effective June 5, 2008 the dumping margins for the four Indian producers are as follows: Essar, 5.22 percent; Ispat, 0.00 percent; JSW, 0.00 percent; and Tata, 0.00 percent.
In addition, there is a countervailing duty (CVD) order against hot rolled flat products from India with the following duty deposit rates: Essar, 4.56 percent; Ispat, 31.89 percent; JSW, 16.10 percent; and Tata, 9.17 percent.
