On March 7, 2002, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) imposed an antidumping duty order on stainless steel bar imported from Germany.
Upon the request of German producer Schmiedewerke Groditz (SWG), which claimed that it did not export the subject merchandise to the US during the period of the investigation - October 1, 1999, through September 30, 2000, the DOC initiated a new shipper review on April 26, 2006 of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel bar from SWG. The review covered the period March 1, 2005, through February 28, 2006.
In the preliminarily results dated March 19, 2007, the DOC determined that SWG did not make sales of the subject merchandise at less than normal value in the US during the period of review.
Based on the analysis of the comments received, the DOC has decided not to make any changes in the preliminary results. Accordingly, the final results of this review do not differ from the preliminary results. The final weighted-average duty margin for SWG is 0.00 percent.
