US DOC: Final results of AD review on HR flat products from India
On January 31, 2005, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an administrative review of the countervailing duty order on certain hot rolled carbon steel flat products imported from India. The period of review was January 1, 2004, through December 31, 2004. The DOC preliminarily calculated a subsidy rate for Essar subject to this administrative review, for 2004. The preliminary total estimated net countervailable subsidy rate was 3.52 percent ad valorem for 2004. Upon the comments received, the DOC decided to revise the net subsidy rate for Essar Steel Ltd. As a result of this review, the DOC determined the net subsidy rate to be 4.56 percent ad valorem.
