US DOC extends deadline for preliminary results of AD review on rebar from Turkey

The US Department of Commerce (US DOC) has announced the extension of the time limit for the preliminary results of its antidumping (AD) duty administrative review regarding certain steel concrete reinforcing bars from Turkey.

On June 4, 2008, the DOC published a notice of initiation of administrative review of the AD duty order on certain steel concrete reinforcing bars from Turkey. The period of review is April 1, 2007, through March 31, 2008, and the preliminary results are currently due no later than December 31, 2008.

However, the DOC has determined that it is not practicable to complete this administrative review within the time limit mandated as it believes it needs to issue supplemental questionnaires to clarify responses on the record. Therefore, the DOC has fully extended the deadline for completing the preliminary results until April 30, 2009.

The deadline for the final results of the review continues to be 120 days after the publication of the preliminary results.
