On February 1, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an administrative review of the countervailing duty order on certain hot rolled carbon steel flat products imported from India, covering the period January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005. In the preliminary results dated March 28, 2006, the DOC decided to rescind the review due to Essar's lack of entries of subject merchandise during the period of review. Upon receiving no comments on the preliminary results, the DOC has now rescinded the review with respect to Essar.
