On August 8, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated an antidumping duty administrative review for silicon metal from Brazil, covering the period July 1, 2005, through February 15, 2006. Since it was found that the respondents had no sales or shipments to the United States during the period of review, the DOC has decided to revoke the review with respect to silicon metal imports from Brazil.
