The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the initiation of administrative reviews of antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders for corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from South Korea having an August anniversary month.
For the period August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008, the US DOC has initiated an administrative review of the AD order against South Korean corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products (A-580-816). The review of the AD order is against the following South Korean steel producers: Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; Dongkuk Industries Co., Ltd.; Haewon MSC Co., Ltd.; Hyundai HYSCO; LG Chem, Ltd.; Pohang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd./ Pohang Coated Steel Co., Ltd.; and Union Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
The DOC has also initiated an administrative review of the CVD order against South Korean corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products (C-580-818) from Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; Hyundai HYSCO; and Pohang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. with a review period of the 2007 calendar year.
