Universal Coal's coking coal and steam coal reserves reach 1.8 billion mt
 
South African-based coal producer Universal Coal has completed drilling tests at phase one of its Berenice-Cygnus coking coal project, upgrading its JORC (Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee)-compliant coal reserves at the project to 1.2 billion mt.
 
Accordingly, Universal Coal's total JORC-compliant coking coal and steam coal reserves have reached 1.8 billion mt.
