Union workers and OmniSource sign deal to end lockout

After signing a new contract Wednesday, OmniSource Corp. union employees that were locked out at midnight September 30 by parent company Steel Dynamics Inc. are expected to return to work this week.

Fort Wayne, Indiana-based steelmaker Steel Dynamics locked out 77 workers in Jackson, Jonesville and Adrian, Michigan after the metals recycler and steelmaker failed to reach a new contract agreement.
