According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in January-May of the current year Ukrainian exports of pig iron increased by nine percent year on year to 0.630 million mt.
In May alone, exports of pig iron from Ukraine decreased by 47.7 percent compared to April, falling to 10,400 mt.
In January-May 2011, Ukrainian imports of pig iron increased by 26 percent year on year to 29,500 mt.
