Ukrainian iron ore miners up sales by 7.4 percent in January-May

In January-May of the current year, Ukrainian mining companies sold 29,714 million mt of iron ore, up 7.4 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.
In January-May this year, deliveries to the domestic market increased by 7.9 percent year on year to 15.782 million mt.


In the first five months of 2011, exports of Ukrainian iron ore products rose by 6.8 percent year on year to 13.932 million mt. During the period in question, Ukrainian companies imported 658,200 mt of iron ore products, down 49.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
