Ukraine’s Metinvest issues 2008 production results of iron ore subsidiaries

The Ukrainian mining and steel producing company Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has issued the 2008 production results of its iron ore subsidiaries.

Accordingly, in 2008 Metinvest's Central GOK (CGOK) registered a 3.7 percent decrease in its concentrate production and a 12.6 percent drop in its pellets output, both compared to the data for 2007. The respective figures in metric tons were 5.721 million and 1.959 million.

In 2008, Severniy GOK (SevGOK) produced 12.602 million mt of concentrate - down 5.9 percent year on year, and 9.42 million mt of pellets - down 14.9 percent.

Meanwhile, Metinvest's Inguletskiy GOK (InGOK) in 2008 registered a 7.5 percent decrease year on year in its concentrate output, to 12.974 million mt.
