Ukraine’s steel pipe imports up by 59.5 percent in 2010

In 2010, Ukraine's steel pipe imports increased by 59.5 percent year on year to 62,840 mt, valued at $111.95 million.
 
In December 2010, Ukraine's steel pipe imports increased by almost 85 percent compared to November and by 218 percent compared to December 2009, to 9,560 mt, valued at $14.87 million.
 
Specifically, in December 2010 Ukraine imported 6,560 mt of seamless pipes - up 181 percent month on month, of which 5,340 mt were supplied from Russia.
 
Ukraine's imports of steel pipes of more than 406.4 mm outside diameter amounted to 1,140 mt in December - down 36 percent month on month, of which 1,070 mt were imported from Russia.
 
In addition, in December 2010 Ukraine imported 1,860 mt of other tubes, pipes and hollow profiles - up 77 percent month on month, of which 1,100 mt were shipped from Italy.
