Ukraine’s steel pipe exports to Russia up 55 percent in Jan-Sept

In January-September this year, Ukraine increased its exports of steel pipes to Russia by 55 percent year on year to 413,900 mt, including 204,900 mt of seamless pipes -  up 41 percent,  116,800 mt of welded large diameter (LD) pipes - up 13.6 times, and 92,200 mt of welded medium and small diameter pipes - down 18 percent, all compared to January-September 2009.
 
Meanwhile, in September this year Ukraine's exports of steel pipes to Russia went down by eight percent compared to August to 63,800 mt, mainly due to a 29 percent month-on-month decrease in exports of large diameter pipes to 24,200 mt. A month-on-month increase in Ukraine's September pipe exports to Russia was registered just in deliveries of seamless pipes, which amounted to 28,100 mt - up 24 percent.
